Noi, a teenager in a small Icelandic town, dreams of escaping from there with a girl. To some he is the village idiot, to others a genius. An avalanche killing his family and friends provides him the ticket to freedom. NOI THE ALBINO (orig. title Nói Albinói) is Icelandic director Dagur Kári Pétursson’s (b. 1973) first feature film. His graduation work at the Danish Film School, LOST WEEKEND (1999), was screened at 15 international festivals and won 14 prizes. He was one of five directors of DRAMARAMA (2001) and has directed short features, music videos and commercials. English subtitles.
