Has an underlying natural sweetness with a finish which is clean, lingering and subtly spiced. On the palate it has a soft, delicate texture that becomes fuller-bodied and lightly creamy with elegant, rounded aniseed and vanilla, a sweet-dry balance and luscious light spiciness. word Reyka derives from the word steam or smoke in Icelandic. Made unlike any other vodka, it is distilled and bottled in Borgarnes in Western Iceland - one of the coldest places in the world where air pollution levels are actually falling. Using glacial spring water taken from the Grabrok Spring, it's one of the best water sources in the world. It is also one of the first spirits to use geothermal heat, a sustainable and clean energy resource throughout its distillation, production and bottling process. Reyka is made in a carter-head still, its high surface area of copper works by removing impurities to produce a uniquely pure spirit. It is also effective at controlling the rate of distillation so that only the heart of the spirit is distilled. Uniquely, Reyka is filtered over 4,000 year old lava rock to produce a distinctive Icelandic taste and purity. The vodka is presented in a clear, heavy based, glass bottle with a distinctive long neck. Its heavily embossed paper label depicting Iceland's most famous volcano, Mt, Hekla, which reflects the quality and handcrafted nature of the spirit within.
